Information we collect

When you order: your name, email address, phone number and delivery address, what you ordered, and confirmation that you’re 18 or older. Card details are collected by Square, not by us (see below).

When you contact us: your name, contact details and your message.

When you visit the site: like most websites, our hosting provider automatically records basic technical information, such as your IP address, browser type, the page you came from and the pages you visit. We use it to keep the site running and secure.

How we collect it

Directly from you, when you place an order or contact us, and automatically when you visit the site (see above).

How we use it

To process and deliver your order, send you emails about it, respond to your enquiries, and keep our website running and secure.

Who we share information with

• Square processes payments and keeps our order records, as it does for our sales at markets. Card details are entered directly into Square’s secure form and never pass through or get stored on our website.
• Resend sends order emails on our behalf, such as your order confirmation.
• Vercel hosts our website and counts visits to it, without cookies and without identifying you.
• Australia Post, Peninsula Wine and Produce and Grape Expectations, whichever delivers your order, receive your name, address and contact details for that delivery.
• Government, regulatory or law enforcement bodies, where required by law.

Some of these providers store information outside Australia, including in the United States and Japan. We only use providers that protect information to a standard similar to Australia’s.

We do not sell your personal information.

Cookies and similar technology

Our website uses your browser’s storage to remember your age confirmation and the contents of your cart. Square’s payment form may set its own cookies to process payments securely and prevent fraud. Vercel counts visits to our website without using cookies. We don’t use advertising or tracking cookies.

How long we keep it

We keep order records for as long as we need them for tax and legal purposes, usually at least five years.

Security

We take reasonable steps to protect the personal information we hold. Payment information is handled entirely by Square and never stored on our systems.
