Rae

The name

Homage to a collection of notarial records titled ‘Codex Diplomaticus Telerae’ (18th Century).

The wine

Generously textured and aromatically complex, Rae is made from estate-grown handpicked grapes. It's wild fermented in an open vat, and pressed and aged (12 months) in selected French oak. A medium-bodied wine (of berry, spice and delicate tannins), with a vibrant, elegant finish.

The season

A cold winter and consistently cool conditions during spring set the tone for an exceptional cool-climate year. A mild summer secured a harvest of quality fruit and refined flavours. Reds made were aromatic, delicate and characterised regional poise.
