Latin in origin meaning strong, healthy or powerful. Articulated in Italian as eloquence and grace.

The wine

A regional expression of barrel fermented Mornington Peninsula Riesling and Sauvignon Blanc. Richly textured and aromatically complex, it’s crafted in the traditional method and disgorged after extended time on lees. Valentina is a limited release sparkling wine of delicate spice, savoury and zesty citrus freshness with a crisp elegant finish.

The season

Wet winter conditions and an unpredictable spring demanded meticulous vineyard management across the Peninsula. Summer was cooler than normal producing slower ripening parcels of smaller fruit. Whites made from wild yeast were highly aromatic, intensely complex and texturally concentrated.
